Daraine Mulvihill

Daraine Mulvihill hit our screens in 2012 when she co-hosted with Jonathan Edwards the ground-breaking Channel 4 coverage of the London 2012 Paralympics. Daraine contracted meningitis at the age of 16 and had amputations on all four limbs. Her battle back from the disease made her Irish Person of the Year in 2001 and she subsequently spent seven years on Irish Council of State.

Dariane is a warm and authoritative presenter having covered the Sochi Winter Paralympic Games 2014, the BT World Cup twice and the IPC Athletics European Championships. She hosted with Lord Chris Holmes, the 25th Anniversary of the IPC in Berlin last autumn.
